Statement by Our President and State Minister, Mr. Zülfikar Zeynula, Regarding Unfounded Claims Circulating in the Public

25.09.2026

Dear people, my dear brothers and sisters,

Due to the inaccurate and incomplete information that was made public yesterday regarding me, I would like to state the facts clearly.

Approximately two weeks ago, I was officially informed that MP Mr. Murati of DUI would direct a question to me. Following this notification, I attended the parliamentary session and was present and ready to respond.

However, during the time I was present at the session, Mr. Murati did not ask me any question.

As for yesterday’s session, I had informed the Parliament in advance that I would be unable to attend due to legitimate reasons.

Despite this, a question was directed to me during a session I did not attend, and an attempt was subsequently made to create the perception that “the Minister did not come to Parliament and did not answer.”

The matter is actually very clear:

When he informed me that he would ask a question, I was in Parliament; he did not ask one.

On the day when I had informed Parliament in advance that I would be unable to attend, he asked his question.

In my view, the fact that the MP resorted to such a method during a session in which we were not present gives the impression that, rather than asking a question, he was attempting to create a public agenda around the issue.

I want everyone to know that we have never shied away from responsibility or from questions, and we never will. We are ready to answer openly any question directed to us in Parliament.

However, our people can also see that, instead of producing solutions to the genuine problems of the Turkish community, he seeks every opportunity to put himself on the public agenda through empty rhetoric. In the face of his efforts to make me take him seriously by attacking me with lies and slander, and given the position he has put himself in, I can only feel sorry for him.

Because I said this from the very beginning: I do not find it sincere that a person who has spent his entire political life trying to harm the TDP, who has failed to receive the support of the Turkish community and who was not elected by the will of the Turkish people, is now attempting to conduct politics through the Turkish community.

We gave the answer to the question of who represents the will of the Turkish community at the ballot box just yesterday. Without the support of the Turkish people, one cannot conduct politics in the name of the Turkish people.

Such statements, which are far from sincere and are made solely for the purpose of gaining visibility and creating a public agenda, neither benefit the community nor provide solutions to the country’s real problems.

Therefore, I regret to say that, regardless of what he does, we will not take this person seriously, and he cannot be my counterpart.

While we speak through what we accomplish, he reveals his true character through shouting, lies and slander. And we have known that for years.

That is why our priority is not to create a storm of words, but to find solutions to the problems of our people.

Regarding the work of our Ministry, as has been the case until now, our valued people will continue to be provided with the necessary information in a transparent manner.

I extend my respectful and warm greetings to everyone.
